What Coinbase has achieved with Brian Armstrong at the helm of it all is nothing short of astounding. Building an exchange is infinitely more complex than shipping a protocol as you're at the forefront of all the arrows from regulators, it's a game of politics, institution deals take months etc - it's made even more challenging due to the fact we operate in a highly volatile space. Today Coinbase is a force to be reckoned with, fighting for the legitimisation of our entire space & is among the top 5 exchanges. As a publicly traded company, they also appeal to a broader demographic.
