"Overall a net positive to the space"

Hoffman is known for his work at Bankless especially around Eth and DeFi. I support his educational posts, takes, and push for decentralisation. That said there have been some concerns about Bankless Ventures like promoting projects hes got a stake in and benefiting from token sales without being super clear about it. Even with those issues I still think Hoffman is a net positive for the crypto space.
