If I had to give my take on Simon, the first thing to keep in mind is that he's a VC. and like any VC, his primary goal is to generate the best possible returns on his investments. Whether that model ultimately benefits retail participants is something people have debated for years, and there’s no clear cut answer. Compared to many others in the space, Simon tends to come across as more reasonable and measured. But that shouldn't make us forget that he's still part of a system where success is directly tied to the performance of the projects he's invested in. Moonrock isn't really different from most crypto VCs in that regard. Getting in early, securing allocations before the public, and benefiting from events like TGE is simply part of the business model. Investments in projects like Camp, Infinex, and Manta are good examples of that approach. That's why I prefer looking beyond the analysis itself and asking what incentives might be behind a particular narrative. Some of the insights may be completely valid, but that doesn't automatically mean your interests are aligned with those of investors who got in long before everyone else.
