The victim feels like they are building a future with a new lover, when in reality they are being fattened up like a pig before slaughter—all the money deposited will be lost when the site shuts down.

Paper can burn, ink can fade. Therefore, this character doesn't trust paper to store their Seed Phrase. They buy expensive titanium plates and a set of steel stamps. They spend the weekend hammering away, engraving their 24-word password onto metal that is claimed to be fireproof, rustproof, and nuclear explosion-proof. Their house may be destroyed by disaster, but they are confident that the iron plate under the rubble will still safely store their wealth.

These are characters who try to fight the mathematics of the universe.
