2.0

Pixel Vault may be a dumpster fire, but the community lives on in the 2.0 social club. This group consists of some of the sharpest minds in crypto, many of whom have been active in the space for 5+ years.

Gfunk did his best to rug us, but in turn he only ended up making the diehard PV community even stronger. 2.0 has a solid chance of doing something special if PV can stop being a bunch of pricks about everything. It starts with accountability and 2.0 has done an excellent job on that so far. Bonus points for injecting humor into a shitty situation.

Even before Pixel Vault's ignominious downfall at the hands of Gfunk, a small band of degens led by Scoot and Aeron saw the writing on the wall and after basically writing off their years of investing into PV both personally and via PVFD, splintered off to form the home of Social Capital aka 2.0. We left PV a lot poorer but richer in the friends we made and long may it continue, the server is now one of the busiest and most mature I'm in with the old PV alpha chat's blend of alpha, TA, life lessons, degening and more. Oh and Beanie is back to run it back to '21-22.

The 2.0 community is unlike anything else in Web3. It rose from the ashes of projects that couldn’t deliver, but instead of fading away, we chose to stick together and build something better. What started as a place to hang out and share alpha has grown into a tight-knit, highly active network fueled not by speculation or flexing assets, but by social capital. 2.0 is welcoming, but not open to just anyone. Entry isn’t earned by flashing a whale wallet or holding the “right” NFT — it’s earned by showing up, engaging, and contributing. The expectation is clear: participate in the conversation, bring something of value to the table, and keep the energy alive. Share alpha if you have it, add perspective if you don’t — but whatever you do, don’t just lurk. Because 2.0 isn’t about passive membership. It’s about building a community where trust, reputation, and contribution matter more than clout. That’s why it stands apart in a sea of failed experiments — it works, because the people inside it make it work

As a co-founder of 2.0, the project is my new online home. I spend 4 years shilling PV only to realize I was being played and used. 2.0 is a place for people to socialize and share alpha about web3 without lurkers and others trying to extract from each other.

A social club filled with likeminded crypto nerds that have been in the space for years, ranging from NFT collectors over high profile traders up to degen memecoin traders. This is the one stop shop to talk bs and trade like budget is not an issue. Been in the former FDAO for years getting to know people, making connections and even working on projects together. An honest and decent bunch of people with the best intentions only.

There is a lot to learn from the diverse group of community members at 2.0 and overall just a great place to hang out.

Honestly im super happy that 2.0 was started after Pixel Vault failed to deliver on any of the promises or products they set out to build. A couple core members took it upon themselves to re-unite the community and drive it forward. The old PVFD community is one of the smartest out there in web3 and im glad i have been a part of it for the past 4 years.
